Bioneers Southeast Forum

The national Bioneers

Conference occurs in California in October of each year, hosting nearly 5,000 attendees.  The conference brings together scientific and social innovators and helps support and propagate their ideas. Conference speakers come from interdisciplinary fields: environmental and socio-political activism; "green" biology, chemistry, design, architecture and urban planning; organic and "beyond organic" farming and gardening; indigenous perspectives; biodiversity, bioremediation, and wildland preservation; alternative energy; engaged spirituality, literature and the arts; holistic and "ecological" medicine; ethnobotany; socially-responsible entrepreneurship, business and philanthropy; the environmental justice, women's and youth movements; independent media; etc.

Inspiring Futures hosts a regional version of the Bioneers Conference, called the Bioneers Southeast Forum.  This event took place in 2005 and 2006, as a "Beaming Bioneers" event - downloading a satellite feed of the speakers and events from the California event.  In 2008, the Bioneers Southeast Forum will take place independently of the national Bioneers, from April 11 - 13th, on the campus of the Interdenominational Theological Center.  Click here for more information
