Vision

Our community is like an oak forest. The oak trees are part of a system that generates clean air, water, soil and habitat. Each one seems like a distinct individual above the surface, but below their roots are intertwined. The interlaced roots gives each tree greater strength than it could achieve on its own, since any stress or strain is shared across all the trees.

Inspiring Futures generates new connections, like the interlocking roots of the forest, that strengthen our community. Our relations reach across traditional boundaries of distinct institutions or sectors. Each new relationship builds the basis for collaboration and cooperation, contributing to the health of our economy, society, and families.

Objectives

• Lead by example in the organization of participative, engaging events and help other groups adapt best practices.
• Generate greater connectivity within our community by bringing together diverse citizens in meaningful conversation.
• Provide a trusted, safe space for dialog and collaboration around the agenda that emerges through conversations in the community.
